Covered
Since 1962
Dust sheet applied the morning of the auction that never happened. The car beneath: a 250 GTE. Last registered in Modena. Whereabouts previously unknown.
II — The Subject

an Unknown
Carrara marble, circa 1780. Acquired from a Venetian palazzo during dispersal. The sitter was never identified. They left no other trace. Height 62 cm.
III — The Light
Brass Font
Oil Lamp
Patinated brass, hand-blown reservoir. Burned whale oil through three lighthouse winters. Still functional. Still necessary. Circa 1847.
IV — The Guardian
Temple Cat
No. 7
Cast from a mould taken at the threshold of a demolished Kyoto temple. Concrete, iron rebar. Kept watch for forty years. Weight: 34 kg.
